30 1st Corinthians 16:1-4 "New Testament Giving"

“New Testament Giving” • 1st Corinthians 16:1-4 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. In the closing to the letter to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul instructs them to take up a collection to help the struggling saints in Jerusalem. Using this instruction, Elder Bryce teaches principles of New Testament giving. Paul links giving to worship. He says that it is the responsibility of every member. The amount we should give is a matter of faith between the individual and the Lord. And finally, organizations such as mission societies are not needed to fulfill their obligations. 29 1st Corinthians 15:51-58 "A Mystery Revealed"

“A Mystery Revealed” • 1st Corinthians 15:51-58 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. After a brief review of the first 50 verses of the chapter, Elder Bryce preaches about the details of the Lord’s return at the end of time and the general resurrection of the dead. With a hope in the fact of the resurrection, we can continue on through life’s trials and troubles. In the gospel, we have the mystery of what will happen on that great day opened up to us. 28 1st Corinthians 15:1-50 "Saved by Hope"

“Saved by Hope” • 1st Corinthians 15:1-50 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. The Church at Corinth had some people teaching that there is not resurrection from the dead. This doctrine, as well as the false practices at Corinth, grew out of a disobedience to the teaching of the Apostle Paul. Paul uses a lengthy but profound argument that the teaching of the resurrection is vital because it is the very heart of the gospel. When we forget or do not believe in the resurrection, the fallen world around us, sin, and death will lead us into despair. However, if we remember the gospel, and its foundation in the resurrection, we will be saved from despair into hope! This message was preached on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

“Stablish Your Heart” • 1st Thessalonians 3:1-3;13 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. After a review of the frist two chapters of the letter, Brother Jonah exhorts the people of God to act like the children of God even in times of trial. The key to being able to do this is to have a heart set on a foundation that cannot move.
“The Lord IS” • Psalm 18:1-3 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. The Psalmist teaches us that we can have confidence in the power and willingness of God to deliver us because of His grace already bestowed on us through Jesus Christ. So that, even when we are afraid, we can pray to God for deliverance from fear!

27 1st Corinthians 14 "Charity - The Purpose of God's Gifts"

“Charity – The Purpose of God’s Gifts” • 1st Corinthians Chapter 14 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. After a brief review of the first verse of the chapter, Elder Bryce teaches that reason that God blessed the 1st Century Christians with miraculous gifts was so that they could help others. God still blesses His children today for the same reason. If we have been blessed by God with understanding, love, or any other gift of the Spirit, it is not so that we may brag about being one of God’s children. We have been given these gifts in order to be of benefit to others in our church and community.This message was preached on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

October 1, 2023 Brother Jonah Lowrance & Elder Bryce Lowrance

"Deceased Infant Salvation" • Jeremiah 31 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. Beginning in Jeremiah 31:15, Brother Jonah teaches about the horrible condition of our country that has the spirit of King Herod. The killing of the unborn is exactly like what Herod did attempting to kill Jesus. Despite the efforts of evil men to end the lives of these children, all those who died in infancy come again to their own border because God takes them directly to heaven, and will resurrect them in the image of Christ at the last day.
 
"A Prayer for Time Salvation"  Psalm 17:5-15 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. After a brief review of the first four verses showing that time salvation is possible because of the finished work of Christ in Eternal Salvation, Elder Bryce speaks about David's struggle. David prays for God to deliver, but he also prays for patience to keep walking in God's paths while he waits. David has confidence that God will disappoint his enemies, and he will be satisfied with peace in the resurrection.

September 24, 2023 Elder Bryce Lowrance • Hear the Right - Psalm 17:1-4

"Hear the Right" • Psalm 17:1-4 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. Elder Bryce preaches this Psalm about David pleasing for temporal salvation from his false accusers. In the first four verses, we learn that the only right we have to come before the throne of God in prayer is because of the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ to us for justification. Because of that imputation, God deals with us as sons, not subject of judgment.  This message was preached on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

September 17, 2023 Brother Jonah Lowrance • Temporal Salvation

“Temporal Salvation” • 1st Thessalonians 2:13-16 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. After a brief review of Paul’s purpose in this letter, to encourage one another to be like Jesus Christ in word and deed, Brother Jonah shows how Paul returned to one of his main points – the assurance of salvation of those in this church. Our temporal salvation found in obedience is possible only because we are already eternally saved. Belief and continuance in gospel obedience gives great assurance of our eternal deliverance.

September 10, 2023 Elder Bryce Lowrance • Triumphal Feast

"Triumphal Feast" • Various Scriptures - Elder Bryce Lowrance. Elder Lowrance uses the Isaac Watts hymn "Triumphal Feast" to teach how God viewed the successful work that Jesus performed on the cross. God delighted in choosing and delivering His people from their sins. We ought to delight in the love and sovereignty of God as well.
